modern vs. classic

so i was downstairs hooking up wiring and stuff and there was some good ole fashioned 60's and 70's love songs playing. and i was thinking, theres the problems with songs u hear on the radio today. the subject matter doesnt fit the rythmn and such. in the 60's and 70's the love songs were happy and positive like "so happy together" and such. unlike now where most songs are how much people are sad and alone and feel bad for them. be like the monkeys and such and be happy. i mean jeez, vietnam was going on and people were still being positive. people like dashboard confessionals and stuff need to get over their little problems and look at the world as the beautiful place that it is and how amazing love really is. they make love seem painful and bad, thats the last thing from what love is. maybe that explains the 51% divorce rate....
