Pink Ribbon

Your beauty will always stay.

When a pink ribbon is first made, it is exuberant, pure, innocent and beautiful. Many people will see it flowing in the air, awe struck by its beauty. A new pink ribbon will hold no form, and is striking to many an eye. This ribbon is a rare creature, one that we try to hard to keep the same and keep pure; we don't want it to fade and become a "normal" thing do we? Therefore, we try our hardest to keep it the same vibrant beautiful piece of cloth we want it to be.

But, what if we fail, and this ribbon does fade? It is possible it holds a new beauty. In fact, it becomes something even more beautiful, and failing is revealed to have made this ribbon shine brighter than we could ever image. Something which has endured so long, and remains wholly the same; with only the slight fading of its once bright and lively shade, and only the wrinkles of time revealed to the eye is far more extraordinary than anything else. How can something common last this long, be this pure even though it has seen years pass by? How has it managed to hold on to its naturally given beauty? It is the beauty woven within this ribbon that keeps it this way; the beauty we all see within it, and the beauty we all love, cherish and wish we could hold onto as well as our flush-shaded ribbon is able to.

Let us remember the life of this beautiful thing, for it has touched us all, and many of us let it slip away between our fingers, not noticing how much we need it to keep our own innocence, and to preserve the goodness inside of us. Some may see it aging, and therefore no longer beautiful. How wrong they are. Let us hold onto this fabric as long as we can; before time attempts to tear it's beauty away from us and the fine silken ribbon can endure no more. Let us hold it tightly to our chests, unwilling to let the wind blow away this beautiful thing which we have been given.

Many of us do not ever get the chance to own a ribbon such as this, and when we do we must always see it for the beautiful thing it is. Even if it's surrounding changes it in the least, it is still the thing we love, gives us sight in a world that blinds us all, and more than anything gives us hope when ours is gone. This ribbon, blowing against the wind, maintains its form, while keeping its beauty and message; giving us the inspiration we need whenever we see it. This beautiful pink ribbon can weather time, and beat back its environment, and through it all, stays the same pure, innocent, beautiful thing we loved when we first saw it, and will love until we fade away, with our hands clutching those of the pink ribbon.
