So we're reading Cats Cradle in english class, and I really think it changed my life. First of all, I'm terrified to take a shower now. Second, I'm thinking about the religion that was in it, for those of you who havent read it, it's called Bokonism, and it's a religion based on lies so that everyone will be happy. Sure, Vonnegut made it to be satirical of all religion, and say that all religion is lies...of course he beleives that, hes an atheist. However, what is wrong with a religion that makes everyone happy out of pure ignorance? Especially when the holy book tells everyone that the book is lies.
I fully intend on reading the book that he wrote on it, because I truly think it has very helpful knowledge of the world. I wholly suggest that you all read it, because not only is it a great book, but it is also a great moral on life I beleive.
