why i love acting

and most of you dont care

so i was mowing the lawn yesterday and thinking why do i love acting...i came up with a few reasons that my fellow thespians might agree with....ill do it in chronological order

1. The Audition Process and The List: Although one of the most nerve racking parts, its also a very kool one. i like searching for a monolouge, desperatly trying to memorize it. I love the feeling of nervousness and forboding. and then theres the list. its a kool tihng to look up there and see your name and wonder about ur part. and maybe one day ill have the lead and thatll make it even better
2. The Rehersal: now im talking about ligitamate theatre here, not musicals. i like rehersing cuz its just fun. hanging out with the drama kids, talking, and they usually make a bad day better. also i like finding my charecter. it can be sooooooo frustrating at first but once u finally get it and know what your doing, its so great.
3. The Show: You hear the opening music, standing in the wings, break-a-legs all around. The lights come up, you step out and everyone is watching you. you feel like you really matter and that your important. and when you say a funny line and the crowd errupts, thats such an amazing feeling (I WALKED INTO TRAFFIC ONCE AND I LIKED IT!). Being able to find feelings inside of you and use them and to have people love it. its so kool.......but the best part is next
4. Curtain Call: Easily the best part of acting. the show uve practiced on for 2 1/2 months is complete, the audience loved it, and theyre giving u a standing ovation. you walk out, the light hits your face, you see the audience cheering and clapping and its such a great feeling. easily one of the best in the world. these people loved the work you did. its easily the best feeling.

there are other good parts like the costumes, tech week, the stress...but ill leave that for later...maybe.
