Where is the origin of evil? I'm not saying from a biblical stance, but in a human. Many will argue that humans are not born evil, that society makes us this way; our experiences through life gives us a twisted sick quality that 99.9% of the time we ignore. I however, would care to disagree with that statement.
I beleive that humans are born with everything that they will use in their life--whether it is nurtured or not is yet to be seen. Afterall, when a person is rejected by a society, their natural instinct is to retreat into themselves, where there is a comforting feeling of loathing, anger and bitterness. All of those weird serial killers are not the outgoing, outspoken people that you and I may be. They are introverted, keeping to themselves. That is not to say that shy, quite people are evil. That is the kind of person they may naturally be. It is quite possible that the evil within these introverts has been created through-out the process of society's rejection of them. Something about that seems strange to me. Is there a point where a person cant take it any more and finally snaps? Where is that point? Is that breaking point when a person crosses into the line of evil, or does is manifest itself in a different way?
The concept of evil will probably never be known to humans; where it comes from, whether evil is really all that bad, and how to extinguish the feeling inside shall remain secret. It is however, true to say that one cannot know oneself until they have discovered their highest, and lowest points. So, in otherwords, to know yourself--and possibly be happy--you must know your own evil, hence, evil can very well lead to good, which in itself is an inspiring concept.
